Femicide A Deadly Abuse

This episode casts a spotlight on femicide and a unique source of comprehensive information (Femicide Census)about women killed in the United Kingdom and the men who killed them. It also looks into, the world wide alarming gender violence crisis and its various forms, inter alia:

  • The torture and misogynist murder of women/girls
  • The slaying of women/girls in the name of 'honour'
  • Murder of women as a consequence of intimate partner violence
  • Dowry related killings of women, also, killings of women in the context of arm conflict (organised crime, gang related / drug cartels, human trafficking & proliferation of small fire arms)
  • Female infanticides / gender based sex selection foeticide & genital mutilation
  • Allegation of witchcraft, indigenous killings of women and girls due to their gender

These are all harmful practices that depletes the female species.
